Stefan is a director and the founder of Nurizon. Since graduating from the University of Pretoria in 1997, Stefan has gained a wealth of experience in the design and planning of civil infrastructure works on various airport and mining projects within Africa and the United Kingdom. He is a registered Professional Engineer with ECSA, as well as a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK.

As a Director of Nurizon with a degree in mining engineering and a strong managerial background, John has a proven track record of successfully delivering full lifecycle contracts within tight timeframes and on budget. He has extensive local and international, cross-sector contracting experience which is invaluable in risk mitigation, implementation and execution of complex projects. Coupled with this John has a strong strategic appreciation and understanding of a client’s business needs.

Head of Nurizon's Airports and Geometrics division and a senior civil design engineer, Kevin has specialised within the airport engineering and aviation sectors since graduating from Nottingham University in 2003. His experience stems from a mixture of time spent working on airport projects in the UK and more recently, South Africa and the wider African environment. He served as the airfield design team leader on London Heathrow’s Terminal 2A development (scheme design) and was involved with the infrastructure and aircraft apron geometrical design for Heathrow Terminal 5C. He was also responsible for airside profiling works during the Waterkloof Air Force Base upgrade project and worked as a design engineer on 2010 FIFA World Cup projects at OR Tambo International Airport.

Dirk Grobler Pr.Eng, B.Eng. (Civil), University of Pretoria, South Africa

Dirk is the head of the Mining Division at Nurizon and draws on over 19 years of experience in the civil engineering infrastructure industry. Dirk is also a senior structural engineer and has extensive experience in the design and construction of reinforced concrete and steel structures, bridges and building renovation. His experience as a civil engineer extends to township services, bulk water supply systems and petrochemical installations. 

Robert Ostrowski Pr.Eng, BSc. Eng (Civil), University of Witwatersrand, South Africa

During the course of his career, spanning over 20 years, Robert has acquired varied experience in many aspects of water engineering, as well as other civil engineering related fields. He currently heads up the Water and Wastewater Services division of Nurizon and is a registered Professional Engineer with ECSA.

Heiner is a senior member of the geometrics design team within Nurizon. Since graduating in 2006 he has gained experience in the design, contract management and contract administration aspects of roads, airports, mining and optic fibre infrastructure projects from conception through to completion.

Jacques is responsible for the Project Management division within Nurizon. He has over 15 years of construction and project management experience in the civil aviation, commercial, hotel and leisure, transportation, educational, housing and mining environments. He is a Profesional Construction Project Manager and is a registered member of the Association for Project Management, UK and of the Association of Construction Project Managers, South Africa. Jacques is also an EXCO Member of the Association of Construction Project Managers (ACPM).

 
Pierre Jacobs

Pierre is a senior Cost Manager within the Nurizon team and is responsible for the company’s project capital and expenditure modelling, which ranges from 350 million (US) dollar projects to medium-scale client budgets. Pierre draws on considerable and varied past financial and operational management experience in the mining, construction and healthcare sectors and has worked in both South Africa and the UK.

Gerhard du Preez

Gerhard draws on over 15 years of experience in the cadastral, topographical, engineering and mining (surface) survey industry. Since 2007 his focus has moved to the Optic Fibre industry, offering fibre network route and site design, site layout and as-built drawings, using specialized equipment for the collection of field data.

Ronny is a specialist engineering consultant within the mining industry. He has over 30 years of experience in mining, mine production, mining related education and project management. Ronny joined the University of Pretoria as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mining Engineering, responsible for all Mine Environmental Engineering related subjects, dissertation projects and mine design in 1997. He subsequently obtained his master's degree (M.Eng) in mining engineering and completed his PhD in mechanical engineering, specialising in the energy optimisation of ventilation, cooling and pumping requirements for hot mines. He was appointed head of the Department of Mining Engineering in 2007. Ronny is a registered professional engineer (Pr.Eng), a fellow of the Association of Mine Ventilation of South Africa. He also serves on the International Society of Mining Professors (SOMP) as Executive member for Africa and was recently appointed as the President Elect for the 2013-2014 term of SOMP. Ronny is also a member of the Professional Advisory Committee for Mining for ECSA, which is a statutory appointment.

Emile is a specialist in Pavement Engineering. He has over 30 years of experience in roads and airports engineering, pavement materials and municipal engineering in the roles of client, contractor and consultant. He has a long history of involvement with new technology transfer and research application with the premier research organisation in South Africa, the CSIR. At CSIR he specialised in the fields of accelerated pavement testing, material behaviour (all road materials), pavement modelling and deterioration modelling of both roads and airfield pavement structures.

 
He is an expert in technological innovation and its application in the engineering field and has a long track record in the education arena. Emile is often consulted as a specialist in forensic investigations concerning disputes and solutions of technical problems by consultants and contractors.

Stephen is a specialist engineering consultant with wide-ranging engineering, technical and commercial expertise from over 35 years of experience in the airports, road engineering and engineering management fields. Key areas of expertise include airports, pavements, materials, bitumen, asphalt diagnostic engineering and research in multi-faceted and multi-disciplined projects, commercial practice and engineering education. He is also a technical expert in civil engineering related dispute resolution.

 
Jacques Oberholzer

Jacques is a specialist in his field of geotechnical engineering and has over 17 years of experience in the roads, airports and mining infrastructure sectors. He also has experience in SANAS accredited engineering materials laboratories where he held SANAS technical signatories. Key expertise is in geotechnical investigations and foundations design, pavement structural and materials design, construction supervision and SANAS accredited civil engineering laboratory management and auditing.    

Angelique du Toit B.Eng (Hons) (Industrial), University of Pretoria, South Africa

Angelique is an industrial engineer with several years of experience in the civil engineering, aviation and mining engineering sectors. She is a registered Candidate Engineer with ECSA and is a member of the South African Institute of Industrial Engineers (SAIIE). Angelique is also an external examiner at the University of Pretoria.
